“In terms of data protection, containerized NFS and SMB services have enabled us to have true isolation for projects within a single namespace. This is useful for content security and for the ingest of external content,” Sassen explains.

Sassen notes, “A fantastic feature of pixstor is that the data is 100% scattered across the storage which means we have full system performance regardless of how full the system is and fragmentation is not a factor. We have expanded the system several times over the years, growing the namespace each time, and this was easily done.”

By maximizing performance from existing servers and incorporating different generations of hardware into the solution, ENVY has significantly improved their return on investment.
